IAS Outstanding Student Branch Chapter Award 2019

Texas A&M IEEE PES/IAS/PELS Joint Student Chapter is selected as IEEE Industry Application Society Outstanding Student Branch Chapter in 2019. Congratulations to Milad Soleimani (President), Pooria Dehghanian (Treasurer), and Hanyue Li (Event Coordinator) of the chapter and special thanks to Prof. Kate Davis and Prof. Le Xie, the advisors of the chapter, and Dr. Tamara Becejac, former president.

IEEE PES Day 2019

IEEE PES Day 2019 will be celebrated on April 18th in Texas A&M University. It will be in WEB 236C from 1pm to 2:30pm. Dr. Omar A. Urquidez will talk about perusing career in industry for Power Engineering students. Pizza and cake will be served.

The 3rd IEEE Texas Power & Energy Conference (TPEC 2019)

The 2019 Texas Power and Energy Conference was successfully held on February 7-8, 2019, at Texas A&M University Campus, College Station, Texas.

This year the conference brought together scholars and professionals from more than 19 countries to represent and discuss the lasted technological development and challenges in power and energy industry. All the papers presented are included in the conference proceedings published through IEEEXplore.

Awarded World's 4th High Performing IEEE PES Chapter and Highest Performing IEEE PES Chapter in North America

The Texas A&M IEEE PES-IAS-PELS Joint Student Chapter was recently awarded the "World's 4th High Performing Chapter of the IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES)", and Ranked No. 1 in North America. Congratulations to all the officers and contributors to the Student Chapter!
